Hapag-Lloyd has warned that a shortage of drivers and rising demand is leading to “significant delays” in shipping from the Stuttgart area in Germany. That’s an unwelcome problem heading into peak shipping season and will likely lead to rate increases. The impact on onward supply chains could be significant.
