Canada’s international trade growth reached 5.8% year over year in January, led by an 8.1% surge in imports that outpaced a 3.1% rise in exports. Trade with the U.S. was much slower though with an increase of just 1.5% including a third straight drop in exports. That won’t help the passage of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement ahead of the Parliamentary adjournment in June.
