Senator Chuck Grassley has indicated that ratification of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement through Congress “is dead” if section 232 duties on imports of steel and aluminum from Canada and Mexico are not removed. Grassley’s concern appears centered on the impact of retaliatory duties on agriculture.
