Cheniere’s cancelled cargoes show LNG challenge for China’s phase 1 commitments

U.S. liquefied natural gas exporters are facing challenges from falling oil prices which have made their supplies less competitive in Asia. Indeed, Cheniere’s CEO, Jack Fusco, has confirmed that “we have had customers elect to cancel some additional cargoes”, though long-term contract commitments are still being fulfilled.
