MSC delivers the opposite of blanking as Maersk hits China-U.S. record

MSC is reinstating its Santana container shipping service which runs from the ports of Yantian and Shanghai in China to Long Beach in the U.S. The firm has done this “in anticipation of continuous strong Transpacific market demand”. The move may also allay Chinese antitrust concerns regarding container shipping rate setting as shipping firms previously “blanked” services to manage falling demand.
