The range of container shipping routes becoming subject to peak season surcharges is widening with CMA CGM applying extra charges for shipments from India and Pakistan to Central America. Exports from India to Central America increased by 13.8% in April 2021 versus April 2019 and are dominated by automotive and pharmaceutical shipments.
